Hey is that ladybird lake or lake Austin because I’ve been told people can not use trolling motors without city permission
It’s ladybird, trolling motors are allowed they just don’t allow the use of outboards

Tried this 1st on mine and last 1 trip 😹 Then patched by melting in more material I’d cut from one of my other kayaks Stronger than new and sanded back into shape Flex seal did get me on the water for the day though

If you’re looking for big fish in Austin try lake Austin, they can be tricky but the lake has giants in it. Caught one just shy of 10 out there a week ago.

Yah there’s a pretty decent amount of grass in the lake now, probably the most there’s been in 20 years.

i dock fish the Texas row center dock at lady bird and i dont know what bait to use do you have any suggestions
I would recommend either a fluke or weightless senko and just slowly work them through the grass around the dock.

I don’t know how you make it look so easy bro I’ve tried using jigs frogs etc etc everything that is fake and I can’t get anything with idk what I’m doing wrong I only catch some stuffs with live worms, any tips ?
My biggest tip would be to look up how to properly work each lure and make sure you’re presenting everything correctly. As well as just knowing what to fish where, a lot of bass fishing comes down to having an understanding of what bass in a certain area are going to be feeding on. Like for example what lures you should throw in grass compared to rocks or shallow water compared to deep. Water temp and time of year can have a big effect as well, like generally when it’s cold you want to fish smaller and more finesse then as the water warms up you can expand your arsenal some. Then just getting out and using lures enough, sometimes it can take a while to get confidant with a certain lure. Hopefully that helps!

Noooooo lol. Lots of pollution in the lake unfortunately, I would highly recommend never eating anything out of ladybird.

You can get away with eating some fish out of lake Austin but for the best quality fish you’ll want to go to lake Travis.

Yeah you dont need that much pressue to set a hook. You guys kill me with that every time. Next time you catch a bass, take the hook and put it through the jaw and see how much pressure it takes

What park are you launching at on Travis
First time watching your videos. Grew up fishing town lake with my dad in a canoe. Now I kayak fish on it at least 2 times a week. I’ll say what’s up if I see you.
I realize this was in December but have you been lately and have you seen any spawning action? Also where are you launching from?
Yah I’m out there pretty much every week lol. There’s some small males starting to get on beds right now with tons of big females hanging out near by getting ready to move up. I launch at tournament point.
